After discovering an interest in vintage machines mostly inspired by members at my local quilt guild, I bought a couple of Featherweights in Wichita, Kansas and Dallas, Texas. These machines are sturdy and easy to clean and repair if you're willing to invest the time and some $$ for supplies.

Thank you for posting this information and the link. I have one of these that was my Aunts first machine and I recently decided I wanted to refurbish it after it has been sitting for so many years. I was planning to send it to a repair shop when I found your blog. The linked videos will be a great help along with your blog tips in tackling this project. Thank you for posting this information. - RG
